Wander through the Haunted Forest as you meet a whole host of scary characters! Bonus: your ticket includes a visit to the corn maze, the petting zoo, and a pumpkin barn.
While the daytime slots are less scary than the nighttime slots, we still don’t recommend this experience for young children.

Six Pines Haunted

Date: October 5 – 31, 2024
Six Pines Haunted is known as one of the scariest attractions in Canada! It will be open this year from October 5th until the 31st, and tickets can be bought online or at the gate. Warning: their “Fear By Night” (age 15+) is not for the faint of heart! Without giving too much away, this is the place for those who love all the scary aspects of Halloween; expect jump scares and lots of screams (but hopefully some laughs, too). Sound too scary for you or the kids? Thankfully, there’s a Family Fun by Day experience as well.
Pro tip: get there as early as possible, as this experience is always popular! Even if you have preordered tickets online, expect to line up before the gates open. It’s seen as one of the best Winnipeg haunted houses and Halloween experiences for a reason.
Don’t want to worry about driving back to Winnipeg after the experience? A stay-and-play package includes two tickets and a night at a local hotel (which is not haunted, promise).

Winnipeg Halloween Stores
Spirit Halloween Winnipeg
Locations: 880 Saint James Street, 1225 St Mary’s Rd F28-29
Spirit Halloween Winnipeg is the most popular Halloween store in the city. One location is near the CF Polo Park shopping mall and another is in the St. Vital Centre, so they’re easy to find near Winnipeg’s shopping malls. From indoor decor to outdoor decorations to animatronics, it’s the place to go if you want to “spookify” your house.
But what Spirit Halloween in Winnipeg is perhaps best known for is the huge selection of costumes. Whatever you want to be for Halloween, chances are the store has it! From baby costumes to kids’ costumes to adult costumes, Spirit Halloween has it all.
Halloween Alley
Location: 1320 Ellice Ave
The largest independently-owned Halloween store in Winnipeg (and in all of Canada), Halloween Alley is a seasonal retailer that sells Halloween costumes, decorations, and so much more. With a plethora of Halloween items to choose from, they also carry animatronics, makeup, wigs, props, and everything you might need to make this Halloween your most memorable yet.
Keep up with their website to learn about their community events, fundraisers, and more.
Party Stuff
Locations: 925 Milt Stegall Dr, 1765 Kenaston Blvd, 1530 Regent Ave W
Party Stuff has three locations in Winnipeg and has a good selection of adult and kid costumes year-round. Costumes include individual items (think silly glasses or different wigs) as well as costume sets that come with everything you might need. The stores also have a lot of Halloween decor and decorations!
Ragpickers
Location: 90 Annabella St, 3rd Floor
Head to Ragpickers for some of the best vintage clothing in Winnipeg. With over 25,000 items in inventory, you can rent clothing to create your perfect costume. It’s a much more affordable way to dress up for Halloween (and it helps the environment, too!). Make sure to book an appointment before you go.
Gags Unlimited
Location: 185 Henderson Hwy
Note: Gags Unlimited will be closed permanently on September 30th, 2024.
Gags Unlimited has been in business in Winnipeg for over 40 years. With an assortment of wigs, coloured contacts, face paint and latex appliances, masks, and more, it’s a fantastic place for accessories for your Halloween costume. The store also carries a selection of costumes, including plenty of classics (think pirates, superheroes, and more).
Value Village
Locations: Multiple around Winnipeg
We love buying secondhand, especially when it’s an item you may only wear once or twice (like a costume). Not only is it cheaper, it’s better for the environment! With multiple locations around Winnipeg, Value Village has a good selection of used costumes, especially kids’ costumes. It’s also a great place to buy cheap items to create your own costume; think a pair of overalls and a plaid shirt to become a scarecrow, for example.
Best of all, you can donate the costume back to the store once you’re done with it so that someone else can enjoy it next year!
