With two locations in the city, Happy Lemon is a very popular choice when it comes to Winnipeg bubble tea shops. Bonus: one of the locations is found within Polo Park Mall, one of our favourite shopping malls in Winnipeg! Happy Lemon has an amazing choice of bubble teas, with an extensive menu that covers just about every flavour and style you could imagine. Some of their top drinks include the Mango Matcha Slushy, the Dark Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, the Avocado Coconut Milky Smoothie, and even a Milk Tea with Salted Cheese (yes, really!). There’s also a good list of smoothies and teas if you don’t feel like ordering bubble tea. There really is something for everyone at Happy Lemon.
Gong Cha

With over 40 locations across Canada, Gong Cha is one of the most recognizable names in bubble tea. They have three locations spread across Winnipeg, so you’re never too far from one of their shops! With thousands of positive online reviews, people rave about how fresh and authentic the bubble tea at Gong Cha is. Choose from a variety of cold milk teas, real fruit teas, smoothies, slushies, and their signature milk foam drinks. Some of the most popular items on their menu include the Black Milk Tea with Black Tapioca Pearls, the Taro Smoothie, and one of our favourites, the Panda Milk Foam, which is green tea with milk foam and Oreo on top as well as black tapioca pearls and white jelly pearls. Little Viet

Visit Little Viet to experience the best in Vietnamese drinks and desserts! Owned and operated by Anh and Dinh, everything created at Little Viet feels extremely authentic (and tastes delicious to boot). There’s a huge selection of Vietnamese coffee, housemade yogurt, ice-blended bubble tea, milk tea, fruit, tea, and so much more. Some of their most popular bubble teas include the Taro Volcano Slush (which is layered with Oreo crumbs), the Cookies and Cream Slush, and the Purple Coconut and Avocado Slush, which comes with sticky rice layers and bubbles. Also try their Halo Halo dessert, which is divine.
Panda Tea

Panda Tea might just be Winnipeg’s most well-known bubble tea shop, as it has five locations around the city! With convenient spots in Polo Park Mall, the University of Winnipeg, and the University of Manitoba, you’re never too far from your next favourite bubble tea. With a massive list of options to choose from, there’s always a new flavour to try; a recent addition is the Cloud Cheezu, which has oolong tea, green tea, strawberry, and mango. Other popular drinks include the Double-bang Passionfruit Tea, the Matcha Green Tea Latte, and the classic Milk Bubble Tea. Khab Tapioca

With two locations, Khab Tapioca is another Winnipeg bubble tea shop that is proving extremely popular. With one of our favourite menus in the city, there’s a lot to love at Khab Tapioca; there’s a ton of fresh, interesting flavours that you won’t find anywhere else, including a ton of specialty drinks that all deserve a try. Choose from milk teas, fresh teas with salted foam, fruit teas, and smoothies, including smoothie mixes and special teas. Some of our favourites include Hit Me Berry One More Time (with strawberry and peach tea with strawberry bits), the Green Apple Smoothie, and Brulee Me, I’m Trying My Dairy Best (brown sugar milk tea with cubed ice and a foam top; tapioca pearls and creme brulee is included). Did we mention how amazing the names are at Khab Tapioca?!
Boba Paw
Location: 296 Madison St
Found in St. James, near Polo Park shopping mall, Boba Paw is a cute little boba tea shop in Winnipeg that deserves a visit. They also serve Korean chicken and street food, so you can make an entire meal out of it! Authentic and always tasty, the TA-HO Milk Tea is a bestseller; you can choose up to five toppings, with options ranging from coconut jelly to sweet tofu to lychee-popping balls. Other popular drinks include the Crazy Oreo Cheesecake, the Mango Pomelo Sago (with fresh grapefruit), and the White Rabbit Candy Slush with boba. No matter what you go for, we’re sure you’ll be very happy with Boba Paw bubble tea!
The Alley

Found inside Seasons of Tuxedo, Winnipeg’s largest outlet shopping mall, The Alley is the first of its kind in the city; it offers a unique blend of bubble tea and coffee blends to create something both refreshing and distinct. What also makes them stand out in the Winnipeg bubble tea scene is that they are dedicated to making their own cane syrup as well as their own deerioca or tapioca balls; this involves making the dough and then kneading and rolling the dough into small balls by hand, giving the tapioca balls a unique and superior flavour. On the menu, you’ll find a ton of delicious drinks, including a variety of “series”: brown sugar, crunchy, snow velvet, and milk tea/latte. Also, try the Alley specialty drinks, which include the Lemon Winter Melon Punch, the Orange Lulu, and the Kiwi Slush.
NEEHOW Bubble Tea
Location: 61 Albert St
Located in the Exchange District in downtown Winnipeg, NEEHOW Bubble Tea is a lovely local shop providing some of the city’s best boba tea. There’s a huge range to choose from, including real fruit smoothies, brown sugar series, yakult (a fermented dairy drink), classic milk tea, coffee, fruit tea, lemonade, tea with sweet cheese, and so much more. Some of the most popular orders include the lemon yakult, the brown sugar bubble milk tea, the pineapple tea, and the NEEHOW bubble milk tea, which you can customize with your own preference on ice, sweetness, and toppings (we love the mago jelly and the brown sugar “bubbles”).
CoCo Fresh Tea and Juice

With more than 4000 bubble tea stores worldwide, CoCo Fresh Tea and Juice is an extremely popular bubble tea shop in Canada. With two locations in Winnipeg, this chain with Taiwanese roots was first established in 1997. Since opening in Winnipeg, it has proven to provide customers with extremely fresh, inventive, and delicious drinks from day one! Choose from classics like the Red Bean Matcha Milk Tea, fruity fresh concoctions such as the Strawberry Latte, specialty drinks like the Taro Slush with Pearls, and then a massive assortment of fruit teas, milk teas, coffee drinks, yakult, and so much more. Found in the Fort Garry area in Winnipeg, VJoy is another fantastic bubble tea shop in Winnipeg that is worth visiting. Also known for its desserts, the shop is open from 2 p.m. to midnight every day of the week, so they’re perfect when you have that late-night craving for something sweet! Another bonus? They offer unlimited toppings when you buy an XL-sized drink! Yes, you read that correctly… unlimited toppings (just think of the possibilities). Some of our favourites at VJoy include the Vanilla Bean Smoothie, the Cream Cheese Milk Foam with Signature Milk Tea, and the Taro Ice Snow, but really, all of the drinks are pretty amazing at this bubble tea spot!

With three locations in Winnipeg, ChaTime is a very popular chain across Canada (and the world). Serving bubble tea, milk tea, smoothies, and slushies, customers rave about how authentic the flavours are here; there’s also a terrific selection, so you’re almost guaranteed to always find something new to love. Some of the top picks from ChaTime include the Mango Smoothie, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea (a classic), the Hazelnut Chocolate Milk Tea, and the Peach QQ, which is made with fresh peach juice served over ice and topped with tapioca pearls and coconut jelly.
